About the position

The Data Infrastructure & Governance Architect role focuses on developing and enhancing cloud data platform capabilities, particularly in Machine Learning and Data Lifecycle Management. The architect will work on data governance utilities and best practices, ensuring data security and quality while refining data lake architecture on AWS for improved efficiency and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop architecture and high-level design for cloud data platform capabilities.
• Create prototypes for complex data engineering use cases using tools like DBT, Airflow, S3, Athena, Glue, and RDS.
• Identify opportunities for improving developer efficiency with data engineering teams.
• Implement data security and data quality measures.
• Define data security policies and governance processes in collaboration with data governance teams.
• Refine data lake architecture on AWS for cost efficiency and enhanced security.

Requirements

• 15 years of total IT experience.
• 5 years of experience as a Data Infrastructure Architect with AWS tech stack.
• 10 years of experience in data infrastructure and AWS infrastructure as code.
• Hands-on experience with Data Governance and Data Security projects.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Proficient in using GitHub for CI/CD and infrastructure pipeline.
• Experience in building custom applications and monitoring solutions using AWS Cloud native technologies.
• Knowledge of Data Mesh/Data Fabric and various architecture frameworks.
