About the position

As our Data Integrations Engineer for Business Systems, you will play a crucial role in supporting system operations, applications, programs, and initiatives from an IT perspective to ensure a best-in-class, omni-channel customer experience. This position is fully remote and will report into Lovesac Corporate HUB based in Stamford, CT. You will be responsible for collaborating with IT engineers, eCommerce, Retail, Sales, and Customer Service teams to understand their needs, recommend technical best practices, and provide solutions, establishing yourself as a trusted Point-of-Contact and Subject-Matter-Expert within the IT Business Systems team. Your responsibilities will include leading interactions with vendors, engineers, analysts, and leadership to ensure the integrity of databases, application software, and manufacturing data. You will manage and oversee the data flow for primary applications, including ERP, eCommerce, and POS systems, while also focusing on analytics and security. As a leader in building a sustainable integration architecture workflow, you will work on continuous developments and own the integrations of various application platforms via API, EDI, SuiteScripts, and modern middleware technologies. In this role, you will oversee the integration of various data sources, ensuring seamless data flow across different systems within the organization. Regular system monitoring will be part of your duties to verify the integrity, health, and availability of all systems and key processes. You will develop new deliverables based on strategic requirements, following best practices for documentation and delivery, and work with current and prospective technology vendors to ensure compliance with integration and API standards. Staying up to date on trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data engineering will be essential to your success. You will also determine testing needs to assure the functionality and integrity of the solutions, create test plans, and evaluate testing results, taking corrective action as necessary. Cross-functional communication will be key to resolving any integration-related questions and issues, and you will collaborate with data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver integrated solutions that meet business needs. Additionally, you will manage issues and escalate as needed to IT representatives or department heads, establish and implement test plans to verify quality code and data, and perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management.

Responsibilities

  • Support system operations, applications, programs, and initiatives from an IT perspective.
  • Collaborate with IT engineers, eCommerce, Retail, Sales, and Customer Service to understand needs and recommend technical best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data, or Communication preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in Enterprise Data Integration; public company experience with a SOX control environment is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Lead Engineer with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience with API/Rest preferred, EDI.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Celigo, SPS Commerce preferred.
  • Understanding of building and scoping out development.
  • Advanced fluency in MS Excel.
