About the position

The position is 100% remote, with the requirement that the employee's primary residence must be in New York State. The role involves working as a Software Engineer or Oracle Developer, focusing on production-level data integration and application development. The candidate will be responsible for mapping legacy system tables to new data warehouse tables, developing APEX-based web applications, and utilizing job scheduling software for data synchronization across on-premises and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, unit test, and deploy data integration components that link various sources of data together.
• Develop and maintain data integration standards and architecture in collaboration with other teams.
• Assist in project management activities, working closely with Solution/Data Architects, Testers, Platform Architects, and Delivery Leads.
• Write code and analyze data to create or modify systems according to predefined specifications.
• Document system requirements, specifications, capabilities, limitations, design, operation, and maintenance comprehensively.
• Maintain processes that ensure data quality and process efficiency across various systems.
• Anticipate, identify, and analyze problems, applying critical thinking to determine appropriate software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise strategies and gather insights on project constraints and performance criteria.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Three (3) years’ experience as a Software Engineer, Oracle Developer, or related IT occupation.
• Experience in production-level data integration of application development.
• Experience in mapping legacy system tables to new data warehouse tables and writing packages to populate data.
• Experience in developing APEX-based web applications.
• Experience utilizing job scheduling software for data integration and synchronization.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Oracle Apex, Oracle Cloud, Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX, Shell Scripting, Toad, SQL Loader, JIRA, Erwin, HTML, Apache, Javascript, CSS, DHTML, XML, AJAX.
