About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting Data Integration tools and processes/pipelines that are essential for loading data into our data warehouse solution. You will work closely with System Engineers to install, maintain, configure, and document new Data Integration Servers and related infrastructure. Your daily tasks will include implementing, monitoring, and supporting Data Integration processes that facilitate the transfer of data both internally and externally. As the first level of operational triage support, you will collaborate with internal team members to investigate and resolve data integration defects. Additionally, you will work with System Engineers and Database Administrators to specify technical and business requirements for new client data integrations, ensuring that all integrations meet the needs of both internal departments and external clients. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing new Data Integration API automation scripts, as well as maintaining existing scripts to support ongoing needs. Effective communication of technical information to both internal and external clients is crucial to ensure a shared understanding of processes and requirements. You will actively participate in an agile scrum team, contributing to the sizing of work efforts, decomposing tasks, and iteratively delivering software. Your role will also involve participating in software release and post-release activities, requiring a reasonable understanding of core engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and support Data Integration tools and processes/pipelines used to load data warehouse solutions.
  • Build data integration processes/pipelines to meet the requirements of the business including internal departments and external clients.
  • Install, maintain, configure, and document new Data Integration Servers and related infrastructure.
  • Implement, monitor, maintain, and support Data Integration processes/pipelines that transfer data inside and outside of the organization.
  • Act as the first level of operational triage support working in partnership with internal team members to investigate and fix data integration defects.
  • Work collaboratively with System Engineers and Database Administrators to specify technical and business requirements for new client data integrations.
  • Act as the first level of operational support for existing client data integrations.
  • Design and implement new Data Integration API automation scripts and maintain current automation scripts to support existing needs.
  • Properly communicate technical information to internal and external clients to ensure shared understanding.
  • Actively participate on an agile scrum team, sizing work efforts, decomposing tasks and iteratively delivering software.
  • Participate in software release and post-release activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related degree or equivalent years of internal experience.
  • 3 years of experience in a Data Integration (System) Engineer role using commercial data integration software (e.g. Qlik Replicate, Fivetran) and/or 5 years of experience in a database administrator/developer or .NET application developer role.
  • Independent research and analysis capabilities.
  • API script design and implementation (e.g. PowerShell or other programming/scripting language).
  • Knowledge of SQL Querying including joins, filtering, and merge supporting data integration sourcing and troubleshooting data results.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to others.
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals and communication styles.
  • Strong independent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills especially with external clients.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps or other ALM/Source Control Software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous healthcare management experience.
  • Knowledge of Qlik Data Integration (Replicate, Compose and Enterprise Manager) or similar data integration tools.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Distribution and Replication or similar.
