About the position

The Data Integrations Engineer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago is responsible for managing the flow and storage of data to support the operations of the revenue applications ecosystem. This role involves studying data sources and models, planning data solutions, delivering data integrations, designing and supporting data warehouses, and mentoring coworkers in technical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and design of revenue application data integrations and processes, ensuring accurate and reliable access to comprehensive data for reporting and operational purposes.
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on relevant revenue application functions to adapt integrations to meet changing business needs and improve efficiency.
  • Respond to support requests and lead/assist troubleshooting efforts associated with revenue application integrations.
  • Collaborate with the Analytics and Advancement Operations teams to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
  • Actively participate in the selection of new applications and provide technical leadership for integrations.
  • Consistently monitor the health, risks, and opportunities associated with revenue applications capabilities as integrated.
  • Build and maintain highly functional relationships with colleagues to thoroughly understand and drive data-related requirements and processes.
  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and implement potential improvements to the revenue data ecosystem in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain highly functional relationships with vendors.
  • Partner with business users to create and maintain process and user documentation, including data models, mapping rules, and data dictionaries.

Requirements

  • Experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying data integrations.
  • Experience with API and Web Services (REST/SOAP/Bulk).
  • Experience with data design, architecture, and data modeling in distributed cloud/hybrid environments.
  • Ability to define and solve logical problems for highly technical applications.
  • Ability to recognize and recommend potential improvements to user and operations procedures.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical clients.
  • Experience managing and directly responding to technical support requests in a professional setting.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
