About the position

The Sr. Solutions Architect for Data Lake & Analytics at AWS will serve as a trusted advocate for global life sciences customers, influencing their data strategies in a complex environment. This role involves collaborating with senior executives and cloud architects to design and implement advanced cloud-based solutions, leveraging AWS services to maximize value from diverse data assets. The architect will also engage in technical content generation and community growth within the broader Solutions Architect community.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training, and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services.
• Deliver on-site technical engagements with partners and customers, including pre-sales visits and creating packaged Data & Analytics service offerings.
• Engage in short on-site projects to demonstrate the use of AWS services for new distributed computing solutions, including migration and development of applications.
• Work with AWS engineering and support teams to convey partner and customer needs as input to technology roadmaps.
• Engage with customers to create a compelling vision of a data-driven enterprise.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
• 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
• Knowledge of SAP systems and their architecture and infrastructure needs.
• Experience working with end user or developer communities.
