About the position

The Senior Data Links/Networking Engineer at DCS Corp will support the Special Operations Forces/Personnel Recovery directorate by providing engineering expertise in data links and networking interoperability. This role involves the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of subsystems for air-to-air and air-to-ground communications, ensuring compliance with military standards and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide data links and networking interoperability engineering, consultation, and support.
• Design, develop, manufacture, integrate, test, and deploy subsystems components for communications.
• Support the design, development, integration, and testing of data link messaging such as J-Series, K-Series, and VMF messages.
• Develop and sustain Network Architectures and processes for obtaining AFSIT and JITC certifications.
• Provide advisory assistance and draft documentation for reviews and studies.
• Document performance requirements and support modifications affecting flight mechanics and system integration.
• Assist in producing artifacts to support systems integration, OSS&E, airworthiness certification, and safety compliance.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited university plus 12 years of engineering experience in a relevant functional area, with a minimum of 6 years in systems, flight systems, avionics, software, or test for the DoD.
• Master's Degree in an engineering field (EE preferred) with greater than 12 years of engineering experience in a relevant functional area, with a minimum of 6 years in specialty task areas.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Other professional engineering degrees (ABET accredited) are acceptable with a minimum of 8 years of the 12 years minimum engineering experience requirement in avionics, software, or test for the DoD.
