About the position

The DLP (Data Loss Prevention) Consultant/SME will work on a long-term remote contract, focusing on developing security measures for cloud-based applications. This role is crucial for driving the migration from Symantec DLP to Purview DLP, requiring extensive experience in both systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data loss prevention (DLP) policies and rules in Microsoft Purview.
  • Test DLP policies in Microsoft Purview and Symantec environments.
  • Understand and address limitations and gaps in Purview DLP.
  • Utilize Microsoft Purview Center for DLP, sensitive information types, and reporting.
  • Build and validate DLP rules through reports in Symantec Enforce Server.
  • Use Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon EC2, and Ansible for monitoring and automation.
  • Use Atlassian Jira for project management and Auto Scaling for automatic adjustments.
  • Engage in API development and automation using AWS Technologies.
  • Utilize Backup Technologies for data protection and Cluster Analysis for data processing.
  • Use Compliance and Security PowerShell Commands for system management.
  • Work with Symantec Endpoint Protection for network security.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud security engineering or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon EC2, and Ansible.
  • Proficient in Atlassian Jira, Auto Scaling, and API Development.
  • Demonstrated experience with Automation, AWS Technologies, and Backup Technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Cluster Analysis, Microsoft Purview, DLP, and Symantec Endpoint Protection.
  • Capable of developing and implementing effective security protocols and measures.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on cloud security issues.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) are advantageous.
  • Constantly keep up with the latest trends and changes in cloud security.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills.
  • Good project management skills.
