About the position

The Data Management Analyst/Consultant role is a 12-month contract position focused on supporting data management initiatives. The position involves analyzing data management challenges, identifying process improvements, and providing recommendations to enhance data management practices. The role requires a blend of technical skills, particularly in SQL and data transformation, along with the ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Data Management.
• Review and analyze basic or tactical Data Management assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives.
• Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Provide information to client personnel in Data Management.
• Define requirements for data lineage, data standards, and data remediation documentation.
• Transform data for new system migrations.
• Support the data team with Business As Usual (BAU) tasks.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Ability to run SQL queries.
• Experience with Alteryx tool is desired.
• Familiarity with Google Data Cloud is a plus.
• Experience in data cleansing and data migration.
• Understanding of transformation logic and SSIS packages.
• Ability to read and understand SQL statements.
• Experience in technical change analysis for data impact.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Tableau and Power BI, although not the primary focus of the role.
