About the position

Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Data Management Analyst III to join their team in Pocatello, ID, Clarksburg, WV, or Huntsville, AL. This role is responsible for conducting organizational studies and evaluations, designing systems and procedures, and managing large amounts of data to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively. The analyst will develop and prepare studies and research projects, providing advanced analytical, communication, and coordination services, and will require a current Top Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of research and assigned projects by compiling and reviewing internal and external organizational information, preparing position and issue papers, and recommending changes for management consideration.
• Analyze problem areas in service delivery and formulate recommendations for improvements; generate and edit reports and other business documents.
• Consult with senior departmental managers and provide administrative assistance and counsel on management issues, organizational structure, feasibility, and potential impacts of varying courses of action.
• Participate in data center costs process by compiling and providing cost information to management and other staff; analyze information for management reports.
• Promote communication by preparing materials to disseminate program and policy information on behalf of senior or executive management.
• Assist management by constructing sensitive documents and correspondence, producing special research reports, and coordinating various projects.
• Perform related duties by visiting multiple agency locations, monitoring events for customer services, and conducting research projects.
• Gather organizational agile product delivery performance information and analyze data to develop solutions regarding data center hardware moves or installation requests.
• Confer with personnel and customers to ensure successful operational functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures.
• Document findings of data center installation feasibility studies and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems or procedures.

Requirements

• A background in information technology terminology and data center terminology with the ability to logically apply the terminology in reports.
• Advanced proficiency and three years of experience using MS Visio, Project, SharePoint, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Advanced experience in large scale collection and entry of data into central repositories in a short amount of time.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred for this position.
