About the position

The Data Management Analyst at Pearson plays a crucial role in enhancing data accessibility and business analytics within the Higher Education Data and Reporting Center of Excellence (CoE). This position involves leveraging data from various technology stacks to create intuitive datasets and data dictionaries, streamline data flows, and collaborate with technology teams to deliver impactful business intelligence solutions. The analyst will conduct data analysis, maintain datasets, and ensure high-quality standards for data-related efforts, ultimately supporting decision-making and driving business growth.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Data-Related Efforts by prioritizing and delivering high-value data analysis and datasets.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand data analysis requirements and business value, conducting analysis to meet those needs.
• Build and scale datasets to support reporting and maintain datasets as necessary.
• Investigate existing datasets, identify opportunities and deficiencies, and research best practices to ensure effective solutions and scalability.
• Ensure consistent high-quality standards for dataset creation and data analysis within the Data & Reporting COE.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in handling data, including data analysis and dataset creation.
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, GCP, Big Query, Snowflake, and Tableau.
• Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity for data.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of presenting to stakeholders including senior leadership.

• Education Industry knowledge, including understanding of student enrollment, academic performance metrics, and compliance reporting.
