About the position

Join the team that is managing data across all Lines of Business within JP Morgan Chase! As a Data Management Controller in the firm-wide Financial Control team, you will be accountable for financial analysis, consolidation, reporting, balance sheet reconciliation/certification/substantiation, general ledger reconciliation reporting & governance, inter-entity control and governance, manual accounting/bookings to the general ledger and operating systems, and executing the month end close process. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data across the organization. In this position, you will work closely with line of business controllers, financial control, product controllers, technology, operations, and legal entity controllers. You will partner with Firm-wide Financial Control (FFC) teams globally to manage the consolidation of JPMorgan Chase financial data at month-end for their asset class. This includes supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities. You will engage hands-on in projects and proactively identify process and/or infrastructure enhancements, working with stakeholders to enact change. Your responsibilities will also include controlling post-closing entries and consolidation adjustments, performing various control procedures to ensure the integrity of reported financial results, and managing intercompany eliminations, which is a key component of the financial consolidation process. You will be expected to enhance the overall control environment around the financial reporting function and mobilize change wherever possible to simplify processes and enhance controls.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent experience).
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Basic experience with a financial consolidation and reporting system (i.e. SAP interface).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in SQL preferred.
