About the position

We are seeking a Microsoft SQL Server DBA/Developer to maintain high-availability MS SQL Servers, support users, monitor jobs and systems, and develop SQL systems for data movement, analysis, and import/export processing. This role involves designing and modifying data models, ensuring database health, and implementing metadata management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high-availability MS SQL Servers and support users.
  • Monitor job and system performance to ensure sustainability.
  • Develop SQL systems for data movement, analysis, and import/export processing.
  • Design or modify data models to meet complex database requirements.
  • Organize metadata for team use and assist in maintaining enterprise-wide data standards.
  • Participate in logical data modeling and lead efforts on assigned data subject areas.
  • Facilitate discussions to support database designs and manage the global metadata repository.
  • Generate procedures and functions for data movement and standardization based on user requirements.
  • Review SQL developer code for optimization and standardization.
  • Maintain individual database and server health, responding to processing challenges.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years in a Microsoft SQL Server DBA or broad Microsoft SQL Server Developer role.
  • Five (5) years of IT experience with two (2) years in data administration.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server setup, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services and Integration Services setup and maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL monitoring and analysis tools (SQL Trace, Execution Plans, etc.).
  • Demonstrable high knowledge of Microsoft TSQL.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize database performance.
