About the position

The Data Management Operations Lead Analyst is a strategic role focused on data analysis, governance, and compliance within the financial services sector. This position requires a strong understanding of data/reporting systems and their alignment with internal controls and governance frameworks. The analyst will lead projects that have a significant impact on the business, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness while managing day-to-day data production and overseeing data flows between systems.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from business, analyze, report and make recommendations on data/reporting systems.
• Lead larger projects with broader impact.
• Ensure data accuracy and timeliness in data warehouse management.
• Manage day-to-day data production management planning and prioritize project team efforts.
• Maintain stability and control of the data warehouse environment through daily checks.
• Oversee data flows between systems, application development, and vendor management.
• Ensure quality of data by managing upstream deliveries and downstream quality.
• Interface with technology partners to manage production delivery needs.
• Prioritize and schedule work efforts to manage critical delivery deadlines.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in data management and analytics.
• Review analytics across customers and markets.
• Lead the work of others as necessary.
• Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in Data Analysis, Governance, or Compliance.
• Ability to conduct requirement analysis for system usage and recommend solutions.
• Prior experience in a financial services institution.
• Knowledge of the firm's business groups and related economics.
• Bachelor's/University degree; Master's degree preferred.
