About the position

The Data Management Senior Analyst at Church Mutual plays a crucial role in maintaining and monitoring data processes to ensure accurate information for regulatory and statistical reporting. This position involves analyzing business data, developing reporting solutions, and mentoring junior analysts, all while fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor CM Group's data and data flow processes for regulatory and statistical reporting.
  • Analyze business data and reporting solutions, including designing, coding, testing, debugging, and implementing reports.
  • Mentor Data Management Analysts.
  • Develop, produce, maintain, and enhance reporting for external and internal data requests.
  • Develop complex data call formulas and calculations, manipulate and reconcile data, and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Interpret and communicate the results of reported data with regulatory entities and bureaus.
  • Research, formulate, implement, and communicate data and regulatory reporting solutions.
  • Perform advanced analysis of data, processes, workflows, and systems to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Drive communication with internal departments regarding data concerns and input errors.
  • Recommend and establish process improvements and reporting best practices.
  • Research and apply industry requirements and develop complex business and technical requirements.
  • Develop and perform business testing and post-production monitoring.
  • Monitor project status and communicate issues that may affect completion.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects impacting data and regulatory reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for data and reporting initiatives supporting corporate goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in analytics or a related field preferred, or equivalent education/work experience.
  • Regulatory and statistical reporting experience required.
  • Experience in property/casualty insurance preferred, with some insurance experience required.
  • Three or more years' experience analyzing and reporting data in a property casualty insurance setting.
  • Ability to perform advanced analysis and develop complex data call formulas.
  • Knowledge of insurance business functions and related reporting terminology.
  • Understanding of data information systems and their relationship to business data.
  • Strong knowledge of database concepts and methodologies.
  • Proficient in computer tools for data retrieval and manipulation.
  • Demonstrated communication, negotiation, and consensus-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage time, organize work, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Ability to provide direction and leadership to team members.
