About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Management Senior Manager to lead the Reporting Testing Innovation & Monitoring team within Home Lending Business Intelligence and Analytics. This role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing the Enterprise Data Quality strategy while overseeing the current data environment. The position involves managing data defects, driving process efficiencies, and developing reporting and control use cases to create a well-designed target state environment. The individual will report to the Data Management & Governance Director and will require experience in managing teams responsible for data testing engagements and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for line of business data quality target state.
  • Define measurement standards for owned areas of responsibility to evidence strong process adherence, quality, and effective control environment.
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures ensuring adherence to a data governance framework.
  • Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals including senior managers to achieve consistent agreement and application of definitions, measurements, and interpretation.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in the continuing development of the objectives, processes, resources, and long-term goals of the Enterprise Data Management strategy.
  • Ensure adherence to data management and data governance regulations, and policies and compliance requirements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for business, data, and reporting executives during BAU and ad-hoc testing engagements.
  • Participate in the ongoing development of a high-functioning team of talented professionals dedicated to data management excellence.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal audit, risk, and compliance partners.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of internal processes.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Data Management, Business Research, Analytics, or Project Management experience.
  • 3+ years of Management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience conducting root cause analysis for data-driven process-related improvements.
  • 4+ years of data management experience.
  • 4+ years of experience presenting information to senior leaders.
  • 3+ years of relationship management experience with business and technology partners.
  • 2+ years of experience gathering business requirements from various sources.
