About the position

The Data Management Specialist - District Assessment Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating the compliance and administration of state and national assessments within the Douglas County School District. This role involves overseeing assessment processing staff, providing training to building leaders, and ensuring adherence to state and federal assessment regulations. The coordinator also supports district-wide implementation of assessment materials and collaborates with various stakeholders to analyze student performance for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and organizes assessment processing staff.
  • Designs and conducts training of building leaders to ensure state and federal assessment compliance.
  • Serves as District Assessment Coordinator to the Colorado Department of Education overseeing administration, compliance, and processing of national and state assessments.
  • Oversees and supports district-wide implementation, collection, review, and audit of state assessment materials.
  • Attends CDE and other assessment related meetings and trainings.
  • Supports school/district leaders in analysis of student performance for accountability and improvement planning.
  • Advises, mentors, and supports district and building staff.
  • Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
  • Provides technical support and expertise to stakeholders in the use of assessment data to inform continuous improvement.
  • Develops, coordinates, and supervises processes, schedules, and security of test materials per CDE guidelines.
  • Collaborates with Assessment and ITS teams to design, implement, and enhance district resources in support of efficient execution of national, state, and district testing.
  • Provides training and technical support for data analysis applications and student performance reporting systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field (Required).
  • Administrator's License from the Colorado Department of Education.
