Responsibilities

• Support the Familial Ovarian Cancer Registry by ensuring database accuracy and completeness.
• Perform data abstraction from various sources into a consolidated database.
• Monitor data for completeness and accuracy.
• Define and run queries to monitor data quality.
• Generate reports to identify and correct inaccurate data entries.
• Identify and rectify errors in the database.
• Perform data entry and digitize paper records.
• Query data for cohort identification and maintain data integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in a clinical trials or research environment, or an Associate's degree with four years of experience.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and healthcare data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills for professional reporting.
• Ability to query, clean, and maintain databases using vendor-provided software; SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Understanding of relational database functionality.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards in medical research, such as IRB guidelines.
• Experience documenting processes and writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
