About the position

The Data Management Analyst in Radiology is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through the provision and maintenance of high-quality, easily accessible, and uninterrupted information services and systems within the Imaging Services division. This role involves analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to imaging service networks, systems, and components across multiple campuses, including Northlake and Southlake, as well as other offsite facilities. The analyst plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and reliability of all imaging systems by addressing hardware and software problems, which includes the hospital's infrastructure, client-servers, and stand-alone systems. Special emphasis is placed on addressing calls that arise during evenings, nights, and weekends to minimize system downtime and ensure optimal system utilization. In addition to troubleshooting, the analyst evaluates and recommends necessary hardware and software replacements and upgrades, both on assigned projects and as observed. They are responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels of supplies and parts, ensuring all necessary record-keeping of usage, orders, and replacements is up to date. A comprehensive understanding of the hospital's infrastructure, remote users, local area networks (LANs), stand-alone systems, and personal computers is essential for providing timely services to customers, especially during critical off-hours. The analyst must maintain complete and accurate records of all requests for assistance and project completions in accordance with imaging service policies and procedures. The role also includes providing emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance to all system hardware components, addressing unexpected breakdowns that may cause system slowdowns or halts. The analyst is tasked with repairing imaging services system hardware, including personal computers, printers, data communication equipment, and related peripherals. They represent imaging services in all system-related activities as assigned by the Director and assist in establishing continuing education on system functions for imaging services and other hospital personnel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the integrity and reliability of all imaging systems by assessing and resolving hardware and software problems.
  • Evaluates and recommends system hardware and software replacements and upgrades.
  • Maintains accurate and adequate inventory levels of supplies and parts, including record keeping of usage, orders, and replacements.
  • Maintains an up-to-date understanding of the overall structure and operations of the hospital infrastructure and related systems.
  • Maintains complete and accurate records of all requests for assistance and project completions.
  • Provides emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance to all system hardware components.
  • Repairs imaging services system hardware including personal computers, printers, and data communication equipment.
  • Represents imaging services for all system-related activities as assigned by the Director.
  • Assists in establishing continuing education on all system functions for imaging services and other hospital personnel.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Imaging Services operations including reporting schedules and office procedures.
  • Excellent computer skills, with experience in interfacing and programming preferred.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and demonstrate creativity, initiative, and professionalism.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a high degree of fine motor skills and visual accuracy.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to complete assignments within designated time frames.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision and handle stressful situations professionally.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Computer Science preferred.
  • Associate's degree in Radiology required.
  • Experience in Information Technology and Healthcare/Medical - Radiology (Imaging and Therapy) preferred.
