About the position

The Data Migration Lead Engineer at EPAM Systems is a temporary role focused on guiding and supporting data migration from legacy systems to Salesforce Greenfield org. The position requires extensive experience in data migration, particularly using Talend and Salesforce tools, and involves collaboration with client teams to ensure effective data integration over a 45-month period.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage client data migration from legacy systems to SF Govt Cloud org.
  • Collaborate with client team and solution architect to develop and maintain data migration scripts and solutions.
  • Understand Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Government Cloud data models.
  • Extract, transform, and load data using Salesforce data tools.
  • Plan data sandbox activities and export object data from multiple Salesforce orgs.
  • Map data between systems, perform data deduplication, and ensure data governance.
  • Capture data migration requirements, planning, and deployment.
  • Run data import tests and stay updated with data migration technology trends.
  • Provide training and support to clients on data migration processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure effective data integration.
  • Handle sensitive client data carefully per contract.

Requirements

  • Extensive Talend experience in data migration for Salesforce projects.
  • Salesforce data model and administration skills.
  • Practical knowledge of databases including complex queries and data manipulation.
  • Experience loading flat files (csv, txt, excel) to Salesforce.
  • Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools, specifically Talend.
  • Experience in data preparation for loading, including cleansing and deduplication.
  • Familiarity with data transformation using formulas, functions, and basic Java scripts.
  • Ability to handle big data volume loads and troubleshoot potential upload issues.
  • Experience with query performance fine-tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with Bulk API and data archival processes and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
  • Fluency in English.
