About the position

The Data Modeler/Architect will design and implement data models to support Power BI dashboards and reporting needs. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to extract, transform, and visualize SAP data using Python and Microsoft Fabric, ultimately creating insightful reports for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust data models in Power BI that facilitate data analysis and reporting.
• Optimize data structures and relationships to ensure efficient data retrieval and analysis.
• Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports in Power BI, providing insights to stakeholders.
• Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and aligned with business requirements.
• Extract data from SAP systems and other sources, transforming it as needed for analysis.
• Implement data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric to streamline data flow and processing.
• Utilize Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis tasks.
• Develop scripts to automate data extraction and transformation processes.
• Work closely with business units to gather requirements and translate them into effective data models and visualizations.
• Provide support and training to users on Power BI best practices and dashboard usage.
• Monitor performance and usage of Power BI reports and dashboards, making improvements as necessary.
• Conduct regular data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reporting.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data modeling, dashboard development, and reporting using Power BI.
• Strong understanding of SAP data structures and extraction processes.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and its capabilities for data integration and management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
