About the position

The Data Modeler/Architect position is a contract-to-hire role focused on supporting the development of clinical information systems, including interfaces and integration efforts. The role requires a strong understanding of data modeling principles and techniques, as well as experience in business process modeling within healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical information system development and integration efforts.
• Engage in business analysis activities, including gathering requirements and conducting whiteboard sessions.
• Map source data to target data models to standardize data.
• Utilize data modeling principles and techniques in software engineering practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and model business processes related to health data.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in clinical information system development, interfaces, and integration efforts.
• Strong understanding of software engineering practices, specifically data modeling principles and techniques.
• Experience with business process modeling in healthcare settings (clinical and non-clinical).
• Business analysis experience in a healthcare setting, including gathering requirements and conducting whiteboard sessions.
• Experience in mapping source data to target data models to standardize data.
• Familiarity with open data architecture and data models.
• Familiarity with UML, SOA concepts, and HL7 standards.
• Familiarity with Couchbase DB is a plus.
• Experience in ETL techniques is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, MIS, or equivalent professional experience.
