Mastech is a growing company dedicated to innovation and teamwork. We are currently seeking a Data Network Engineer for our client in the IT Services domain. This is a Contract position and the client is looking for someone to start immediately. The duration of the contract is 6 months, and the position is located in Providence, RI. The compensation for this role is at market rate. The Data Network Engineer will be responsible for providing expertise to networking infrastructure and associated project activities. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the field. The engineer will provide troubleshooting and general specialist technical support, ensuring the reliability of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Strong technical analytical skills are essential for this position. Primary responsibilities include managing and performing advanced troubleshooting and complex routing tasks, providing expert knowledge in the technical field of networking, and driving recommendations and solutions in the areas of design, development, testing, and implementation of technology solutions. The engineer will also manage network escalations and provide expert recommendations. Additionally, the engineer will participate and/or lead project teams as a technical resource to deliver solutions that follow best-practice standards.
