The WHA Information Center (WHAIC) is dedicated to collecting, analyzing, and communicating complete, accurate, and timely data from the state's hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and other health care providers. This position manages aspects of the data collection and production cycle, ensuring that data is processed efficiently and accurately. The role also provides limited administrative support to the Vice President of the Information Center, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. In this role, you will coordinate multiple internal and external priorities, working on various tasks with multiple deadlines while maintaining a calm and effective demeanor. You will develop, maintain, and update WHAIC's sales database, taking primary responsibility for fulfilling data sales and custom requests, as well as managing WHAIC's invoicing process. A basic knowledge of software tools, including SQL Server and Microsoft Office, is necessary for data request processing, which may involve database management, spreadsheets, and file translation utilities. Additionally, you will assist in the development of internal validation and facility validation queries to analyze data, ensuring that it is plausible and consistent with historical norms. Collaborating with WHAIC's Data Analyst, you will produce data for inclusion in WHAIC's annual publications. You will also coordinate communication with external PricePoint clients and work with the Web Developer to ensure that websites are maintained accurately and new sites are developed within assigned timelines. Maintaining the WHAIC website and tracking reports for facility-specific status related to data submission and validation will also be part of your responsibilities. This position requires you to monitor facility-specific status and communicate with facilities about deadlines or missing information. You will assist with database maintenance, including updates to ICD-10-CM codes, CPT-4 codes, HCPCS Level II codes, ZIP Code updates, and physician database updates. Furthermore, you will assist WHA Information Center staff with data requests, analysis, surveys, and database needs as requested. Developing general correspondence and materials such as letters, memos, and reports using software like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, CRM, and Excel will be expected, along with maintaining electronic and paper files, data, minutes, and other reports. You will also develop presentation materials for various audiences and complete special projects as assigned.
