About the position

The position involves delivering technically complex solutions and is responsible for developing, building, and maintaining data platforms. The role includes designing and implementing fault-tolerant systems, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery. Specifically, the position will manage Informatica Metadata Manager (IMM), Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), and Erwin Data Intelligence support.

Responsibilities

• Defines and operationalizes data platforms and enables relevant use cases
• Develops, maintains, and improves deployment pipelines for the platforms
• Maintains and ensures operational metadata (logs, performance metrics, etc.) are available for diagnostics
• Assists in architecture definition and provides solution design for these platforms
• Creates automated solutions and frameworks to deliver efficiency
• Builds non-functional monitoring capabilities and provides escalated support for highly complex platforms and services in production
• Builds in and maintains security controls and monitoring in support of company standards
• Analyzes information to determine business needs from requests and implements effective technical solutions
• Takes a new perspective on existing solutions to solve problems of moderate to high complexity
• Leads medium to large data engineering projects with manageable risks and resource requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and six to ten years of experience in systems engineering or administration or equivalent education and related training or experience
• In-depth knowledge of Linux, Unix, Windows Shell Programming, Python, Git, Networking, Storage Systems, data/BI/content/document composition platforms
• Previous experience in planning and managing IT projects
• Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree and eight years of experience or equivalent education and related training or experience
• Banking or financial services experience
• Experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ)
• Experience with Informatica Metadata Manager (IMM)
• Experience with Erwin Data Intelligence
