About the position

Deliver technically complex solutions. Responsible for developing, building, and maintaining data platforms. Designs and implements fault tolerant systems (High Availability, Disaster Recovery). More specifically will be managing Informatica Metadata Manager (IMM), Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), and Erwin Data Intelligence support.

Responsibilities

• Defines and operationalizes data platforms and enables relevant use cases
• Develops, maintains, and improves deployment pipelines for the platforms. Maintains and ensures operational metadata (logs, performance metrics, etc.) are available for diagnostics.
• Assists in architecture definition and provides solution design for these platforms. Creates automated solutions and frameworks to deliver efficiency.
• Build non-functional monitoring capabilities and provide escalated support for highly complex platforms and services in production.
• Build in and maintain security controls and monitoring in support of company standards.
• Analyzes information to determine business needs from requests and implement effective technical solutions by providing problem analysis and resolution in a timely manner and explain and interpret complex, difficult, or sensitive information.
• Takes a new perspective on existing solutions to solve problems of moderate to high complexity and exercise judgment based on the analysis (e.g. modeling, testing, etc.) of multiple sources of information.
• Lead medium to large data engineering projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; plays significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and six to ten years of experience in systems engineering or administration or equivalent education and related training or experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux, Unix, Windows Shell Programming, Python, Git, Networking, Storage Systems, data/BI/ content/ document composition platforms
• Previous experience in planning and managing IT projects
• Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Master's degree and eight years of experience or equivalent education and related training or experience
• Banking or financial services experience
• Experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ)
• Experience with Informatica Metadata Manager (IMM)
