About the position

The Dev-Sec-Ops Principal role is crucial in integrating development, security, and operations within the software development lifecycle. This position focuses on embedding security practices from the beginning, ensuring that applications and infrastructure are secure. The role involves facilitating efficient and secure continuous delivery pipelines, automating security protocols, and fostering a culture of security awareness to mitigate risks and enhance organizational resilience.

Responsibilities

• Enable effective data and analytics governance by defining actions and access to information.
• Assist in developing information governance processes and structures for data and analytics leaders.
• Manage risk by defining data classifications and zoning for information assets.
• Secure data and analytics assets by analyzing security requirements and collaborating with the CISO.
• Automate security processes within the CI/CD pipeline to streamline security measures.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify threats and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to maintain a secure infrastructure for software deployment.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals.
• Train development teams on secure coding practices and the importance of security in DevOps.
• Respond to and mitigate security incidents, participating in post-mortem analyses.
• Keep abreast of emerging security threats and incorporate new technologies into practices.
• Facilitate communication between security, development, and operations teams for a cohesive approach to security.
• Design and implement secure network architectures and application environments.
• Mentor and develop the DevSecOps team, promoting a security-first mentality.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in Analysis, Design, and Development of Data Warehousing initiatives.
• 10+ years of experience in Azure cloud computing and design.
• 5+ years of experience in Databricks, with extensive administration experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and YAML for scripting and automation.
• Expertise in DevOps Infrastructure as Code (IAC) practices and tools.
• Strong foundation in Azure cloud architecture and security strategies.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Hadoop, HIVE, SPARK, DataBricks, and data virtualization solutions.
• Experience with networking, storage area networks, and security operations.
• Knowledge of Windows/Linux/UNIX servers, load balancers, and firewalls.
