About the position

The Privacy Analyst is responsible for managing legal and operational risks associated with sensitive information assets. This role involves assessing business operations continuously, developing appropriate policies and procedures, and overseeing data agreements to ensure compliance with global privacy laws.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of global privacy policies, procedures, requirements, and notices.
  • Conduct annual assessments of the global privacy program, identifying areas for improvement to ensure compliance with global privacy laws.
  • Develop and deliver enterprise-wide and role-based privacy training with input from key stakeholders.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Data Subject Rights program.
  • Maintain records of processing activities and data processing inventory.
  • Engage with legal and business teams to integrate privacy considerations into project planning and operations.
  • Provide privacy guidance for onboarding and offboarding third-party vendors.
  • Manage and maintain privacy metrics reporting.
  • Oversee the external-facing Contact Privacy inbox.
  • Lead teams implementing Data Governance tools in a complex business environment.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of information security and data protection.
  • One or more IAPP certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CIPT) preferred.
  • Familiarity with US, EU, and other global privacy laws and regulations, such as CCPA/CPRA and GDPR.
  • Experience in privacy and consent management, compliance processes, policies, reporting, and controls.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and articulate strategy for process improvement.
  • Works effectively as a team member.
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university; experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in governance, risk management, and compliance roles, preferably in a regulated industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data privacy and data protection tools such as BigID, OneTrust, Microsoft.
  • Knowledge of data architecture, profiling, quality, and metadata management.
