This developing-level professional role is integral to supporting our Global Data Privacy Compliance program, specifically focusing on Foundational Practices. The individual in this position will engage in a variety of projects, ranging from small to large-scale, and at times complex, requiring a heightened skill set to navigate multiple technical and operational environments. As a lead, this person will manage one or more work products while operating under general supervision, allowing for independent judgment. Collaboration is key, as this role involves consulting with peers, other Data Privacy teams, and company/business leaders. The position offers significant growth opportunities, visibility, and potential for advancement within the organization. In this role, the professional will work closely with business partners across the company to ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations, providing essential guidance throughout the process. They will analyze and assess the applicability of global and state privacy laws, regulations, and guidance, proactively addressing any identified gaps. A critical responsibility will be managing the data privacy inventory, which includes data, applications, suppliers, and business processes, ensuring that accuracy and completeness are consistently achieved. The individual will interpret regulations and identify effective measures to ensure compliance through established controls. They will also provide internal customers with guidance on understanding regulatory standards and their implications for the organization and its affiliates/customers. Leading and participating in enterprise-level projects, program self-assessments, and audits will be a significant part of the role. Additionally, the professional will support the implementation of new automation and tools aimed at streamlining the programs, collaborating with Data Privacy leaders to address enhancements to policies, procedures, and processes. The role also involves developing, maintaining, and reporting on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and other risk identifiers designed to highlight privacy risks and trends. A vital aspect of this position is to help foster a Data Privacy culture and awareness across the company, which includes participating in industry forums and meetings to bring back valuable lessons learned to the team.
