About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Product Manager to lead a centralized Testing function within the Consumer Data Platforms organization. This role is crucial for ensuring accuracy and driving intended outcomes within data products. The Data Product Manager will coach and manage a team responsible for setting test strategies, generating test data, and executing tests for significant data use cases. The position involves defining and driving roadmaps to mature the testing function and providing leadership to a geographically dispersed team.

Responsibilities

• Manage Testing as a Product, recognizing it as both a function and a capability.
• Contribute to Data Testing Product Strategy and drive towards the Testing Product strategy to achieve organizational goals.
• Establish delivery priorities at the Program Increment (PI) level reflecting technical needs and business priorities.
• Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers across various departments to achieve business goals.
• Develop and manage a team of individual contributors executing against the data product strategy.
• Ensure activities across scrum teams are synchronized and support the product strategy and architecture.
• Review team deliverables such as testing scope, test plans, and test cases.
• Guide the team on best practices, methods, and tools for innovative data products.
• Assist Analysts and Product Owners in identifying trends, risks, and issues.
• Communicate roadblocks and potential solutions to various audiences.
• Create mechanisms to measure and report on team operational and delivery metrics.
• Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports.

Requirements

• 4+ years of data product or data management experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in data mining techniques to understand data behaviors.
• 2+ years applied SQL experience.
• Experience with Hadoop, MapR, Teradata, and/or Mongo.
• Experience leading Testing Functions in large scale consumer data.
• Experience developing standardized testing strategies and automation capabilities.
• Experience in designing and executing scenario-based end-to-end test strategies.
• Experience leading global teams.
• Experience with IceDQ or similar test automation capability.
• Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools.
• Experience in an Agile development environment.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Executive presentation and communication skills.
