About the position

The Data Program Manager (SLDS) will lead Colorado's State Longitudinal Data System Grant Program, focusing on federal grants to develop or enhance data systems that measure the success of educational initiatives. This role involves managing SLDS-related initiatives and projects, implementing long-term goals, and ensuring the continuous delivery of SLDS services to improve Colorado's educational system through innovative data management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage SLDS-related initiatives and projects.
  • Implement long-term goals and objectives for the SLDS program.
  • Define funding requirements and maintain continuous delivery of SLDS services.
  • Plan the overall SLDS program and monitor progress to ensure milestones are met.
  • Develop and recommend Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
  • Guide and synthesize data and annual reports to drive organizational change.
  • Present information and findings to SLDS program staff and the public.
  • Oversee the production, display, and development of data structures and analytics for the Colorado SLDS.
  • Ensure data privacy and security in alignment with CISO guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Governing Board to set the research agenda for the Colorado SLDS.

Requirements

  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in IT and program management for large, strategic, and complex initiatives.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of data analytic and statistical analysis experience, including causal inference and data-driven decision-making.
