About the position

The Data Quality Assurance Analyst will collaborate with product owners, developers, and project managers to define and prioritize testing data requirements. This role focuses on validating data quality, accuracy, and integrity by testing various reports and data sets requested by business users, ensuring that the data meets the necessary standards for business operations.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Business Analyst to gather requirements and understand business needs related to data elements.
• Perform analysis on data requirements and clarify questions with business stakeholders.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing.
• Validate reports to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency objectives are met.
• Create SQL scripts to build data sets based on requirements to validate data against developed reports.
• Identify and communicate any data-related issues using established agency processes.
• Support business users during User Acceptance Testing, addressing questions or issues raised.
• Design and maintain automated test scripts using Microsoft technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant QA Data Analyst/ETL testing/Data quality testing experience.
• Advanced level of SQL Server database query language (TSQL).
• Experience in context-based, exploratory, or scenario testing.
• Basic understanding of programming.
• Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the education industry.
• Experience working on an Agile/Scrum team.
• Experience with TFS, MTM, and MS Test.
