About the position

The Data Quality Lead Analyst at Virtuoso, Ltd. is responsible for ensuring the integrity and usability of critical enterprise data. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to identify data quality issues, establish standards, and implement a framework for monitoring data quality across the organization. The analyst will also maintain documentation related to data quality measures and support reporting efforts to communicate the status of data quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, and address potential quality issues related to data collection, storage, processing, and usage.
  • Collaborate with data domain experts to identify and document critical enterprise data that requires the highest level of data quality management.
  • Establish a data quality framework to measure and monitor critical data and the success of data quality initiatives.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation on data quality standards, definitions, KPIs, and processes.
  • Support reporting efforts by creating data sets that allow for proper interpretation of data quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or applicable experience).
  • 5+ years in a similar analytics role requiring advanced skills in SQL and data management.
  • 4+ years of experience working as a data quality or data analyst.
  • Practical, current, hands-on knowledge of data management and analytics solutions, including Snowflake, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Advanced skill and experience with SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in implementing data quality best practices.
  • Experience with the principles of data analysis and data quality.
  • Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake) and data warehouse architectures.
  • Experience with managing data quality projects and initiatives.
  • Understanding of data management concepts, including master and metadata management.
  • Understanding of common data governance frameworks and practices.
  • Understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts and practices.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
