About the position

The Data Quality Specialist in the Data Management & Governance Chief Data Office at Prudential is responsible for ensuring data security, accessibility, quality, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to improve data quality and support business goals through effective data management practices. The position emphasizes problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, along with a focus on continuous learning and agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project lead and execute assigned activities such as data analysis, data curation, and establishing quality rules.
  • Work with business partners and project teams to gather functional requirements for business-impact-driven initiatives.
  • Proactively identify project issues and suggest solutions to improve project delivery.
  • Develop knowledge in adopted standards and tools to enhance program efficiency and data utilization.
  • Create and deliver training materials to support the development of Data Governance Associates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • In-depth evaluation of complex problems requiring analytical judgment.
  • Understanding of business lines and overall firm operations.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to functional requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data governance or quality tools such as Informatica CDQ, Collibra, Alation, or IBM IGC/Information Analyzer.
  • Solid understanding of data management concepts and principles.
  • Experience with both on-premise and cloud-based data technologies.
