About the position

As a Data Quality Specialist within the Data Management & Governance Chief Data Office at Prudential, you will play a crucial role in ensuring data integrity and quality across the organization. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance data quality initiatives, develop training materials, and lead projects aimed at improving data accessibility and compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Your contributions will support the organization's goal of leveraging data effectively to drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project lead and execute assigned activities such as data analysis, data curation, and establishing quality rules.
  • Work with business partners and project teams to gather functional requirements for data initiatives.
  • Proactively identify project issues and suggest solutions to improve project delivery.
  • Develop knowledge in adopted standards and tools to enhance program efficiency.
  • Create and deliver training materials to support enterprise-wide data governance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex data situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of data management concepts and principles.
  • Strong SQL skills for data profiling and analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data governance or quality tools such as Informatica CDQ, Collibra, or IBM IGC.
  • Understanding of both on-premise and cloud-based data technologies.
  • Analytical and critical thinking abilities.
