About the position

As a Data Quality Specialist within the Data Management & Governance Chief Data Office at Prudential, you will play a crucial role in ensuring data security, accessibility, and quality. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance data quality and support business objectives through effective data management practices. You will lead projects focused on data analysis, curation, and governance, while also developing training materials to promote data quality initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project lead and execute assigned activities such as data analysis, data curation, and establishing quality rules.
  • Work with business partners and project teams to gather functional requirements for data initiatives.
  • Proactively identify project issues and suggest solutions to improve project delivery.
  • Develop knowledge in adopted standards and tools to enhance program efficiency and data utilization.
  • Create and deliver training materials to support the development of Data Governance Associates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data situations.
  • Experience with SQL for writing complex queries for data profiling and analysis.
  • Solid understanding of data management concepts and principles.
  • Experience with data governance or quality tools such as Informatica CDQ, Collibra, or IBM IGC.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud-based data technologies.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Familiarity with data quality frameworks and data life cycle management standards.
