About the position

The position at enGen is focused on transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. The candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on the organization's key performance indicators (KPIs). This role involves developing dashboards, scorecards, and forecasts, as well as tracking results and preparing executive presentations to support operational excellence and management intelligence. The successful candidate will consult with various cross-functional teams to identify data needs, conduct analyses, and review findings with leadership. They will also facilitate process improvements and develop presentations for both internal stakeholders and customers. In this role, the candidate will work closely with different internal departments to gather source data regularly and as needed. They will design and build reports using Excel or other technologies, publish metrics dashboards, and identify trends in complex datasets. The candidate will be expected to develop processes and tools that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of data analyses, ensuring high-quality deliverables. They will also be responsible for maintaining effective communication with internal organizations and external partners, structuring complex subjects in a comprehensible manner, and developing work plans to meet deadlines. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. The candidate will need to work closely with management to prioritize business needs and ensure that all changes to reporting processes are documented and consistent. Other duties may be assigned as needed, making flexibility and a results-oriented mindset essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Collect source data from various internal departments regularly and as needed.
  • Design and build analyses, trending, and forecasting reports using Excel or other technology.
  • Publish metrics dashboards and executive presentations.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets.
  • Develop processes, tools, and templates for efficient and standardized data analyses.
  • Implement data collection systems and strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of information and reporting by identifying issues with core metrics/KPIs.
  • Facilitate changes and participate in process and data improvement efforts.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal organizations and external partners.
  • Structure and present complex subjects in a meaningful manner.
  • Develop work plans to meet deadlines and communicate status to management.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Math, Computer Science, Quantitative Business Analysis, or closely related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant, progressive experience in data analysis or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient to master level with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
  • Basic understanding of SQL/querying capabilities.
  • Experience with end-user reporting tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Information Technology, Mathematics/Statistics, or Operations Research.
  • Experience in project management.
