About the position

The Data & Research Analyst position at Atrium Health is a grant-funded role within the Advocate National Center for Health Equity (ANCHE). This center aims to address health disparities by leveraging the resources of Advocate Health, one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the United States. The analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the center's mission by providing data collection, management, analytics, and visualization support. This position is designed to translate project impact goals and grant objectives into meaningful metrics, ensuring that the data collected is both relevant and actionable. The analyst will be responsible for designing and implementing data collection systems and protocols, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods. This includes integrating data from various sources to conduct comprehensive analyses. The role requires maintaining meticulous records, such as code books and validation reports, to uphold best practices in evaluation and grant management. Additionally, the analyst will prepare and present findings to stakeholders through written reports and visualizations, ensuring that the information is accessible and useful for decision-making. Collaboration is key in this role, as the analyst will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support a unified approach to service delivery. The position demands strong analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple requests, and adaptability to the fast-paced healthcare environment. The analyst will also be responsible for managing project reporting deadlines and communicating effectively with all stakeholders involved in the projects.

Responsibilities

  • Translate project impact goals and grant objectives into meaningful metrics.
  • Design and implement data collection systems and protocols using available technology platforms.
  • Monitor data quality and integrate data from multiple sources for analysis.
  • Maintain code books, validation reporting, and methodological records for evaluation and grant management.
  • Prepare and present results to stakeholders through written reports and visualizations.
  • Design reports, dashboards, presentations, or visualizations tailored to specific audiences.
  • Develop Data Definitions to align technical and non-technical collaborators.
  • Identify key insights from analyses to inform decision-making and strategy.
  • Manage project reporting deadlines and provide status updates to funders and stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with stakeholders to support service delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Technology Analytics, or a related field from an accredited college or university; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in data analytics with a focus on problem-solving and decision-support.
  • Advanced computer skills with knowledge of data analytic tools such as Power BI, R, or SAS for statistical analyses and data visualization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, analyze, interpret, and communicate data effectively.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize requests from multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with qualitative data analytic tools such as SPSS or NVivo for statistical analyses and visualizations.
