About the position

The Data & Research Scientist (Technical Data Analyst) position at Securekloud is focused on leveraging data analytics to support the Cadillac Global Strategy & Operations Department. The role involves problem-solving through data, hypothesis testing, and creating visualizations to address business challenges. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data architecture, big data technologies, and a strong background in research and analytics, contributing to the development and execution of global strategies and operations projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work as an integral member within the Cadillac Global Strategy & Operations Team, focusing on innovation and analytics.
  • Develop analytical solutions to improve KPIs and business results for strategy and operations managers.
  • Identify problems and impacts across large vehicle populations using data mining, predictive modeling, simulation, and visualization techniques.
  • Conduct advanced data analysis and design search patterns.
  • Develop automation tools for data mining and reduction.
  • Mentor junior researchers and data scientists to enhance their analytical skills.
  • Stay informed on technological advancements and implement cutting-edge solutions.
  • Establish strong working relationships with interdisciplinary teams including Enterprise Data and Analytics and IT.
  • Drive the acquisition of new data and refine existing datasets to ensure quality and relevance.
  • Create best practices for research instrumentation and experimentation and share with peer teams.
  • Develop analytics to support complex event processing and real-time data analysis in big data contexts.
  • Serve as an expert in predictive and prescriptive analytics and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
  • Use structured approaches for communicating data insights through data storytelling.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of actual experience in data analysis and research.
  • Experience using data to solve problems, hypothesis testing, and creating visualizations.
  • Experience in data architecture and database management.
  • Solid experience with Big Data technologies in Data Bricks platform using Python/R.
  • Master's degree in STEM fields is required.
  • Ph.D. in STEM fields is preferred.
  • Strong technical, statistical, and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent data storytelling, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to liaise with business leads and create actionable insights from data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Auto industry experience preferred, but not mandatory.
