About the position

The Data & Research Scientist position at Infotree Global Solutions focuses on leveraging data science and analytics to support the Cadillac Global Strategy & Operations Team. The role involves developing analytical solutions to improve business outcomes, conducting advanced data analysis, and mentoring junior team members. The position requires a strong background in research, statistics, and data analytics, with a preference for candidates experienced in the auto industry.

Responsibilities

  • Work as an integral member within the Cadillac Global Strategy & Operations Team, focusing on innovation and analytics.
  • Develop analytical solutions to address and improve KPIs and business results.
  • Pursue problem identification and impact across large vehicle populations using data mining and predictive modeling.
  • Conduct advanced data analysis and develop automation tools for data mining and reduction.
  • Mentor junior researchers and data scientists to enhance their analytical skills.
  • Continuously update knowledge on the latest software and hardware innovations.
  • Establish strong working relationships with interdisciplinary teams including Enterprise Data and Analytics and IT.
  • Drive the acquisition of new data and refine existing datasets to ensure quality and relevance.
  • Create best practices for research instrumentation and experimentation.
  • Develop analytics to support complex event processing and real-time data analysis.
  • Serve as an expert in predictive and prescriptive analytics and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
  • Use a structured approach for communicating data insights through data storytelling.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience using data to solve problems and create visualizations.
  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture and database management.
  • Solid experience with Big Data technologies in Data Bricks platform using Python/R.
  • Master's degree in STEM fields required.
  • Ph.D. in STEM fields preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the auto industry is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong data storytelling, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Displays curiosity and creativity.

Benefits

  • Contract position with pay ranging from $60 to $72 per hour.
  • Hybrid working model with onsite collaboration three days a week.
