About the position
The Data Science Adjunct Faculty position involves teaching courses related to Machine Learning, Data Science, and Data Visualization during the Spring 2025 semester. Faculty must maintain accurate records, submit grades on time, and participate in the assessment of learning outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Teaches assigned courses in accordance with the description published in the catalog and the approved course syllabus.
- Incorporates an appreciation of diverse lifestyles, cultures, and national perspectives into courses.
- Utilizes library resources, writing as an instructional method, and academic technologies in courses.
- Meets all scheduled class meetings and advises the Division Dean/Assistant Dean of absences in a timely manner.
- Maintains accurate grade and attendance records and submits required reports.
- Submits grades per published deadline.
- Participates in assessment of learning outcomes and uses results in course planning.
- Plans in advance for the availability of supplies, textbooks, and classroom equipment.
- Submits progress reports on students and discusses any problems requiring special attention.
- Adheres to College policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Master's Degree required.
- Some teaching experience is required.
- Unofficial college transcripts must be submitted prior to interview.
Nice-to-haves
- Teaching experience at the community college level.
