The Data Science/AI Engineer will be responsible for extracting maximum business value from available data and refining requirements for the data engineering team to ensure a comprehensive dataset is accessible. This role requires executing data science and AI projects that advance ASML's capabilities, including physics-based model development, machine learning, and the creation of digital twins for the EUV source and its components. A deep understanding of multiple engineering disciplines is essential for success in this role, along with strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Interpersonal skills are also crucial for building effective relationships across various functions within the organization. The position involves participating in the end-to-end AI and data science lifecycle, collaborating with engineers to apply data science solutions to complex problems, and producing clear technical documentation. The Data Science/AI Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to set technical direction and achieve milestones, and may require travel to customer sites and other ASML locations for collaboration and reporting. This role is located in San Diego, CA, and operates on a hybrid schedule of three days onsite and two days remote, necessitating onsite presence for meetings and teamwork.
