The Data Science Analyst III position at CareOregon is a pivotal role within the Business Intelligence department, focusing on the proactive identification of opportunities and the development of algorithms, models, data structures, and data products. This position is designed to facilitate the production of insights derived from healthcare claims, enrollment, and other related data. The core function of this role is to lead efforts in translating complex data into meaningful information for decision-makers, with a focus on cost and utilization of health services, financial trending, and enhancing member and provider experiences. The analyst will ensure the completeness and integrity of data used for analysis and will collaborate across various departments in a multi-functional, mission-critical environment. Additionally, this role involves training and mentoring other analysts and staff, acting as a subject matter expert in their domain. The responsibilities include leading the development of research methods and data analysis plans related to healthcare utilization, cost trends, and financial forecasting. The analyst will direct complex analysis projects, manage stakeholder relationships, and communicate outcomes effectively. They will utilize appropriate software tools to retrieve, edit, and tabulate data from various databases, conduct descriptive, prescriptive, and predictive analyses, and summarize complex data for leadership in various formats such as statistical summaries, narratives, and visualizations. The role also involves developing visual reporting tools, collaborating with business teams to understand needs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. Furthermore, the analyst will create and maintain technical documentation, contribute to community practices, and assist in delivering presentations to various stakeholders.
