About the position

Insperity Services L.P. DBA Insperity is seeking a Data Science & Analytics Engineer to join our team in Kingwood, Texas. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and implementing data science and analytics platforms and technologies, as well as machine learning models and algorithms. The successful candidate will work closely with an Enterprise Data Engineering scrum team, utilizing a variety of machine learning techniques such as clustering, decision tree learning, and artificial neural networks. The engineer will be responsible for validating and updating data processing algorithms and platforms to ensure that our data acquisition and transformation technologies meet the advanced needs of data science and analytics. In this position, you will create and manage data sets that are essential for training and testing data science algorithms. You will design and build innovative analytics models to address identified business problems, employing statistical computer languages such as Python, R, or C#/.NET, along with various ML/AI libraries like pandas or ML.NET to manipulate and analyze large data sets. Collaboration with stakeholders, Enterprise Data Engineers, and other ITS teams is crucial to ensure that conclusions and trends derived from data are easily interpretable and understandable. A strong foundation in advanced statistical techniques and concepts, including regression analysis, properties of distributions, and statistical tests, will be necessary to succeed in this role. The position allows for telecommuting and includes opportunities for travel to conferences and seminars.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement data science and analytics platforms and technologies.
  • Develop machine learning models and algorithms using various techniques such as clustering and decision trees.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 12 months of experience with computer information systems and data science and machine learning.
  • 6 months of experience developing, managing, and maintaining enterprise software.
  • 6 months of experience using statistical computer languages (Python, R, or C#/.NET).
  • 6 months of experience using ML/AI libraries (e.g., pandas or ML.NET) to manipulate data and analyze large data sets.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a related field with 36 months of experience in similar roles.
