About the position

As a Data Science & Analytics Engineer at Insperity, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing data science and analytics platforms and technologies. This position involves working with an Enterprise Data Engineering scrum team to create machine learning models and algorithms using a variety of techniques, including clustering, decision tree learning, and artificial neural networks. You will be responsible for validating and updating data processing algorithms and platforms to ensure they meet the needs of advanced data science and analytics. Your responsibilities will include creating and managing data sets for training and testing data science algorithms, as well as designing and building innovative analytics models to solve identified business problems. You will utilize statistical computer languages such as Python, R, or C#/.NET, along with various ML/AI libraries like pandas or ML.NET, to manipulate data and analyze large data sets. Collaboration with stakeholders, Enterprise Data Engineers, and other ITS teams will be essential to ensure that conclusions and trends are easily interpreted and understood. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to travel to conferences and seminars, and telecommuting is permitted, providing flexibility in your work environment. This role requires a strong foundation in advanced statistical techniques and concepts, including regression analysis, properties of distributions, and statistical tests.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • 12 months of experience with computer information systems and data science and machine learning.
  • 6 months of experience developing, managing, and maintaining enterprise software.
  • 6 months of experience using statistical computer languages (Python, R, or C#/.NET).
  • 6 months of experience using ML/AI libraries (e.g., pandas or ML.NET) to manipulate data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • 36 months of experience with computer information systems and data science and machine learning.
