About the position

EchoStar Corporation is seeking a Data Science and Analytics Engineer to join our Hughes Network Systems division, located in Germantown, MD. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing data solutions that enhance our satellite communication services. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating Tableau dashboards that visualize processed data, facilitating troubleshooting and analysis for various teams. Additionally, the engineer will develop a data pipeline to extract, transform, and load raw data into Google Big Query, ensuring efficient data management and accessibility. The position also involves creating automation scripts to conduct video tests across multiple streaming services using Raspberry Pi, which will require a strong understanding of both hardware and software integration. Analyzing performance statistics for various gateways is another critical responsibility, as is the extraction and transformation of data from Raspberry Pi to the Google Cloud platform. Furthermore, the engineer will design and implement machine learning algorithms to assess video performance metrics, contributing to the overall improvement of our services. Responsibilities

• Design Tableau dashboards to present and visualize results from processed data.
• Create a data pipeline to extract, transform, and store raw data in Google Big Query.
• Develop automation scripts to run video tests for multiple streaming services using Raspberry Pi.
• Analyze performance statistics for various gateways.
• Extract data from Raspberry Pi, transform, and load it into Google Cloud platform.
• Design and implement an ML algorithm to assess video performance metrics.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus 6 months' experience in data modeling and analytics.
• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus 5 years' experience in data modeling and analytics.
• Experience must include 6 months in ML models, GCP, Cloud, Google Big Query, Data visualization, Python, SQL, R, JavaScript, and CI/CD.
