About the position

The Data Science Engineer - Machine Learning role is focused on driving data science projects from conception through to deployment in production. This position involves proposing statistical or machine learning models to address specific problems, implementing and evaluating these models, and providing technical guidance to the team. The role also requires collaboration with product managers to shape the vision and design of machine learning products.

Responsibilities

• Drive data science projects from concept to production.
• Propose statistical or machine learning models to solve problems.
• Establish accuracy measures and validation criteria for models.
• Implement and evaluate proposed models and methodologies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team.
• Collaborate with product managers to formulate the ML product vision and design.

Requirements

• Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, applied mathematics, or a related engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of experience building data-powered products.
• Strong background in machine learning, statistics, and programming.
• Proven track record of analyzing large-scale complex data sets and modeling.
• Expertise in at least one high-level programming language (Java, Scala, C++, or Python).
• Expertise in at least one statistical modeling tool (R, Matlab, or Weka) is a plus.
