About the position

We're searching for talented individuals who provide ELINT data science analysis. This program will maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of our country's most important missions both at home and abroad. If you are ready to support a high-performing team that truly makes a difference, then come join us. The role involves utilizing knowledge of ELINT signals analysis to perform data science capabilities. Candidates must have experience with Python programming in a Jupyter Notebook environment. Past completion of SIGE-2810 or SIGE-3810 is preferred. The Level 3 Data Scientist shall possess capabilities in several foundational areas including mathematical, computational, and statistical knowledge. Responsibilities include data processing, which encompasses data management and curation, data description and visualization, as well as ensuring workflow and reproducibility. The role also requires skills in modeling, inference, and prediction, focusing on data modeling and assessment while considering domain-specific factors. The successful candidate will devise strategies for extracting meaning and value from large datasets, making and communicating principled conclusions from data using elements of mathematics, statistics, computer science, and application-specific knowledge. Through analytic modeling, statistical analysis, programming, and other appropriate scientific methods, the candidate will develop and implement qualitative and quantitative methods for characterizing, exploring, and assessing large datasets in various states of organization, cleanliness, and structure, accounting for the unique features and limitations inherent in NSA/CSS data holdings. Additionally, the candidate will translate practical mission needs and analytic questions related to large datasets into technical requirements and assist others in drawing appropriate conclusions from the analysis of such data. Effectively communicating complex technical information to non-technical audiences is essential, as is making informed recommendations regarding competing technical solutions by maintaining awareness of the constantly shifting NSA/CSS collection, processing, storage, and analytic capabilities and limitations.
