About the position

The Level 3 Data Scientist position at RealmOne focuses on providing ELINT data science analysis to enhance the effectiveness of critical missions. The role requires expertise in ELINT signals analysis, data processing, and Python programming, particularly in a Jupyter Notebook environment. The successful candidate will utilize mathematical, computational, and statistical foundations to extract meaningful insights from large datasets, communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences, and make informed recommendations based on data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize knowledge of ELINT signals analysis to perform data science capabilities.
  • Devise strategies for extracting meaning and value from large datasets.
  • Make and communicate principled conclusions from data using mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
  • Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative methods for characterizing and assessing large datasets.
  • Translate practical mission needs into technical requirements and assist others in drawing conclusions from data analysis.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain awareness of DoD collection, processing, storage, and analytic capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree with 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field with substantial computational coursework.
  • Experience in designing/implementing machine learning and advanced analytical algorithms.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and statistical analysis techniques.
  • Experience in data management, data mining, and software engineering.

Nice-to-haves

  • Completion of SIGE-2810 or SIGE-3810 courses is preferred.
  • Experience in more than one area of data science is strongly preferred.
