Responsibilities

• Work closely with stakeholders to identify data optimization opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of data science methodologies and advise on appropriate techniques.
• Develop novel machine learning approaches for greenhouse automation.
• Conduct literature reviews on current technology applications.
• Collaborate with data engineers to encode algorithms into robust data pipelines.
• Prototype tools for data visualization and communication.
• Develop systems for routine training, testing, and deployment of models.
• Brainstorm new insights and innovative ways to leverage data.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in solving real-world computer vision problems.
• Master's degree in data science or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python and data science libraries (Numpy, Pandas, scikit-image).
• Experience with deploying machine learning models.
• Ability to independently source data and formulate problems.
• Excellent verbal and visual communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with MLFlow or other experiment tracking systems.
• Familiarity with image annotation tools and image versioning solutions.
• Experience with Docker, OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and related tools.
• Knowledge of Julia, Matlab, R, and other engineering-oriented languages.
• Experience in agriculture modeling or hyperspectral imaging.
• Experience with data pipelines and job automation.
